Me, John, and my two kids absolutely love the LEGO Movie 70816 Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship! Building Set. First of all, the set includes four minifigures with accessories – Benny, Robo Emmet, Space Wyldstyle and Robo Pilot – which makes the playing experience even more fun and immersive. We especially love the Astro Kitty figure that comes with it! It’s so cute and adds a nice touch to the overall design of the spaceship.
The spaceship itself is incredibly detailed and well-designed. It has an opening cockpit that fits one minifigure, 2 spring-loaded laser shooters, 4 flick missiles, extendable wings, spring-loaded space cannons, 2 stud blasters and a triple exhaust booster. The control room also has an opening roof and is equipped with computers, a hammer and wrench for repairs, a satellite dish for communication and even 2 spacebots! The translucent elements add an extra special touch to the overall aesthetic of the spaceship.
One of our favorite features of this set is that it also comes with detachable wing flyers that can be used separately or attached to the main spaceship. They each measure over 1″ high and 3″ long so they’re perfect for some added adventure during playtime. The Robo Police interceptor is also included in this set as a bonus vehicle measuring over 1″ high and 4″ wide.
Overall, we highly recommend this LEGO set to anyone who loves building spaceships or enjoys playing with their favorite characters from The LEGO Movie. Benny’s Spaceship measures over 4″ high, 20″ long and 16″ wide so it’s quite impressive in size as well. Trust us – you don’t want to miss out on this amazing building set from LEGO!

Plus, the addition of the Hubble Space Telescope replica just takes it to another level. Building this set was such a fun and satisfying experience for me.
I gifted this LEGO set to my husband for his birthday and he hasn’t stopped raving about it since! He’s always been fascinated by space exploration and this set was the perfect way to bring that interest into our home decor. The finished product is truly impressive, measuring over 54 cm long and making an eye-catching display with its multiple stands. The cockpit even opens up to reveal a detailed flight deck with crew seating – my husband loved exploring life on board the Discovery spaceship through this feature.
